Ferrari CEO Benedetto Vigna has confirmed that seven-time world champion Lewis Hamilton will arrive at Ferrari’s Maranello headquarters during the week of January 20th. Hamilton, who recently joined Ferrari from Mercedes, will visit the iconic factory and Fiorano test track for the first time.
As part of his preparations, Hamilton is expected to undergo Testing of Previous Cars (TPC) at Fiorano ahead of the 2025 F1 season. Ferrari’s official season launch will take place at London’s O2 on February 18th, followed by the unveiling of the 2025 car the next morning. Pre-season testing in Bahrain will commence a week later.
During his Fiorano sessions, Hamilton will work with his new race engineer, Riccardo Adami, after the reassignment of his long-time Mercedes engineer, Peter Bonnington. Speaking at a conference in Milan, Vigna expressed the team’s excitement:
“There is a lot of excitement, a great desire to begin. Lewis will be with us at Ferrari next week. We are preparing the last things. Changes are always beautiful.”
Hamilton’s arrival signals a fresh start for the driver and Ferrari, raising expectations for the upcoming season.
