Ferrari Dino 206 concept car

The Ferrari Dino 206 S is a rare and iconic sports prototype produced by Ferrari between 1966 and 1967 under the Dino marque. Ferrari initially planned to build at least fifty units for homologation in the 2.0L Group 4 category, but only 18 were produced, so the car ended up racing in the Prototype 2.0-litre class instead. Despite this, it still achieved many wins in its class.

The 206 S was the last of the Dino sports cars and the most produced model in the Dino series. Its development followed earlier Dino prototypes, like the 1965 Dino 166 P and the 206 SP, which helped set the foundation for the 206 S.

The car was designed by Piero Drogo’s Carrozzeria Sports Cars and mostly came as a spyder with a roll-bar behind the driver. Some were later rebodied as barchettas. It was a lightweight car with great racing pedigree.
