He commended the event after announcing his retirement from Formula 1 in 2022, ending a decorated 16-year spell that included stints with Red Bull, Ferrari, and Aston Martin. I thank God that I will be competing in the Race Of Champions again and will partner with Mick once more,’ stated Vettel. ‘The Accor Stadium in Sydney will be an incredible venue for the event.’

Almost always, The ROC adopts a similar approach where every participant has to use the same type of vehicle, which allows for no such nonsense except true racing. To add on, the scheduled event is also expected to occur one week before the Australian Grand Prix.

Vettel winning the ROC is not new to him; he claimed the individual championship in London in 2015 and has competed with Michael Schumacher winning six ROC Nations cups for Germany. ‘I will do everything I can to help Germany get another ROC Nations Cup title, this time with Mick on the Friday evening,’ he remarked sharpening the competitive spirit in the duo.

Mick Schumacher, who completed a two-year period of racing in F1 with Haas in the year 2022 is also looking forward to the event. “Australia is one of my favorite regions and to carry Germany’s flag with Sebastian at the ROC in Sydney would most definitely be a great experience. “Last year in Sweden, however, Schumacher finished second in the individual ROC events. This year he hopes to win the overall trophy as well as the one won by Vettel.

As Schumacher also attempts to fight for the possibility of a second chance in F1 with Sauber (Audi), all remains vague for now. Yet both of the drivers are determined to put on a show at the ROC and give the supporters a fantastic exhilarating experience during the weekend filled with fast-paced actions and warmth.

As all the elements come together for a spectacular face-off in March twenty-twenty-five, motorsport lovers across the globe shall anticipate not just the presence of Sebastian Vettel, but also the entertaining competition involving the team of Vettel and Schumacher in Sydney.
