Of all the Formula 1 drivers across the races, only Felipe Massa was the one who was allowed to visit Michael Schumacher, the record seven times winner in the world. They first met at Ferrari and while Schumacher has had a rather complicated life following a skiing accident in December 2013 their friendship still remains strong. According to Massa he can talk to Schumacher on the telephone any time that the latter wants, but the family element has been kept very low profile as requested by Corinna Schumacher.
It thus remains striking how Massa isn’t the only driver who enjoys such privileged interaction with Schumacher. It also covers friends such as Luca Badoer; this is a close friend who was not only a Ferrari’s test driver but who raced with Schumacher at some point in his career. As for Maranello partners, Massa and Alonso have remained teammates even after they left racing for their cars – Ferrari. Another member is Jean Todt the former team principal at Ferrari who is also Involved in this inner circle. Todt has given interviews for the media regarding Schumacher in the past but has given information while respecting the family’s privacy.
Recently Schumacher came out of his seclusion now that he is 55 years old he attended the wedding of his daughter, a major transformation from when he had the accident. This image was a revelation by Corinna who has been a leaning wife ensuring that her husband health and recovery are not exposed to the media. They have downplayed their yearning for a low-profile life keeping the family away from prying eyes while they nurse Michael back to health.
Since the accident, Schumacher has had two operations for a grave head wound sustained while skiing. The severity of his injuries results in a lengthy and complicated recovery process which has affected him and his family greatly. Since traumatic brain injury usually produces highly significant and irreversible effects, the Schumachers have experienced several compelling issues.
