Oshan X7: Everything you need to know

The Changan X7 Plus, previously known as the Oshan X7, is a mid-size SUV available in both 5-seater and 7-seater configurations. Produced by Changan Automobile under the Oshan brand, the vehicle was later rebranded under the Changan name after the Oshan brand was discontinued in 2024.

History

The Oshan X7 made its debut at the 2019 Shanghai Auto Show and quickly hit the Chinese auto market with prices ranging from 79,900 yuan to 119,900 yuan. One of the more unusual facts about this vehicle is that it became the second car to ever be launched into space on July 25, 2019, as part of iSpace’s Hyperbola-1 rocket maiden flight.

Powertrain

The X7 is powered by a 1.5-liter turbocharged engine producing 176 horsepower and 265 Nm of torque. There is also an electric version available, offering a range of approximately 250 miles (402 km).

Oshan X7 Plus

In 2021, the X7 received a facelift and was reintroduced as the Oshan X7 Plus. The new model was unveiled at the 2021 Shanghai Auto Show with a refreshed front and rear design, featuring split headlamps and full-width tail lamps. The X7 Plus comes with a 1.5-liter turbo engine producing 176 horsepower and 300 Nm of torque, paired with a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission.
